Soon to be fitted to one of our demonstration LP12s for an audition next week — the Audio Origami PU7 GTS tonearm with internal Cardas wiring.

This product has evolved to a point where it represents a mandatory audition for anyone considering a super arm for an LP12-level deck. Everything about it displays the precision with which it has been manufactured — from the threaded counterweight stub that allows fractions of downforce to be added or subtracted, to the highly polished titanium armtube that holds any cartridge in a vice-like grip. This is a weapons-grade device that means business.

Each device is bespoke. Armtube material, colour, and cabling options are all available to specify depending on your requirements. That level of individual attention to a product is rare, and it shows in use.

It sounds different to its competitors. Whilst rivalling them in dynamic energy, it has to be the most transparent arm at its price point in the marketplace — giving a different but ultimately very rewarding interpretation of any music you care to play on a deck equipped with it. The amount of resolution that even a modest cartridge can generate when optimally aligned in this arm is quite staggering.

We are delighted to be able to offer this as an option for anyone looking to get the most from their LP12 or quality turntable.

When we posted about the PU7 GTS arriving, the team at Audio Origami responded. We thought it was worth sharing:

“Reading this means a great deal to us, because it tells us you’ve truly understood what we set out to do with the GTS. Every one of these arms is built by hand here in Scotland, and posts like yours are a reminder of why we sweat the details: the threaded counterweight stub, the titanium armtube, the wiring options — none of it is there for show. It’s there to let the music through.”- Audio Origami

That response says more about the product than we ever could.

The PU7 GTS will be on demonstration from next week on one of our LP12s. If you’re considering a significant upgrade to your analogue setup, this is one you need to hear before you decide anything.
